MPREC staff succeed in Wilcannia garden competition

7 December, 2017

The inaugural Wilcannia Olive Grove garden competition is a Community Activity that was driven by locals and supported by local business.

Several MPREC staff members have taken out awards in the Wilcannia Olive Grove garden competition. One of our Supervisors Shawn Mills & Murdi Paaki team took out first prize in the Non-Residential section, while two other staff members, Natelle Everette and Vicki Dutton, entered their own home gardens and both came in as highly recommended.  Well done!

The winners were featured in the local Wilcannia Newspaper* a proud community engagement moment for MPREC.

It was a great event, with the community extremely impressed with the gardens entered, which were thriving despite the harsh environmental conditions.
