Chris travels over 2200kms to ensure people get access to services

31 January, 2017

With a huge geographical footprint, MPREC’s team often go above and beyond to get the job done and deliver great outcomes to clients, no matter their location. One such team member is Chris Delaney, who recently travelled well over 2200 kms to visit over 27 clients on his Community Development Program (CDP) outreach.

Chris’s adventure started in the town of Ivanhoe. Here, he met with his mentor Mel Proudlove, who shared his insights and advice on conducting CDP appointments.
With appointments and lunch done by 2pm, Chris was off on his own to Wilcannia for the night.

Over the next four days, Chris visited the towns and people of White Cliffs, Tibooburra, Broken Hill and Silverton and reported back that he “loved every bit of it”.

Chris said, “The land, the people and drive was awesome”.

He’s already busily planning his next outreach trip for February: an event he is genuinely looking forward to.

The CDP initiative is proudly funded/supported by the Australian Government.
