The Show, which was held in mid-May, isn’t just about cakes and cattle - it also gives locals the chance to enter artworks in a series of categories for judging.
The men were lucky enough to pick up a range of ribbons and trophies for all their artwork they entered into this year’s art competition, which included clap sticks, didgeridoos, emu callers and canvas art.
Best in show went to an entry from the Men’s Group - a didgeridoo decorated using wood etching techniques. Two of the group’s canvas paintings also took home prizes in a fierce pool of competition.
It was great to see the work stand out amongst so many great local aboriginal artists.
