Which is exactly why The Alice Edwards Village community recently got involved in a BBQ, held to show the community’s appreciation of the clean-up and to thank the Work for the Dole participants for their contribution.
Having already successfully assisted in the rejuvenation of the area, jobseekers are now moving onto other jobs to continue improving areas of Alice Edwards Village, such as the park.
Jobseeker Ben has been servicing the lawnmowers and getting them set up with new blades, ready to get mowing. Sharon has been collecting dirt to fill holes and level the ground in the park, Lyle is putting up down pipes for a rain water tank in the park, and Mark is moving in sand for the tank’s bed.
This initiative is funded/supported by the Australian Government.
