Being able to follow workplace hygiene procedures and being able to prepare and serve delectable espresso coffee are invaluable skills needed in many hospitality workplaces. This short course is comprised of two units:
You will learn to use personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses and develop an understanding of how to follow procedures and identify and control hazards.
You will also learn how to prepare and serve a variety of espresso coffees. You will learn how to select and grind coffee beans, how to clean and maintain coffee machines and how to give advice about different coffees.
Individuals who successfully complete this course will receive a Statement of Attainment from the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.
